Barbara Laws is a documentary photographer based in Norwich. She went to art school at West Sussex College of Art and Design and later in 1976, she studied under Magnum's David Hurn, on his legendary documentary photography course in Newport. "In my work I record the people and places that interest me in as honest and humane way as I can. I'm drawn to seeking out the extraordinary realities of everyday life."
