Hinterland reflects on the distancing formation of convenience and in turn the destiny of landscape within a relentless process of confinement. Part autobiographical, part topographical, the narrative of the photographs reflect Cator's understanding of the realisable oddities of process and progress both in the camera and in the landscape, and more importantly, the unintended beauty of the ordinary.
