Great Yarmouth Project

Mark Cator

Kicked off The Great Yarmouth Project today. Bruer Tidman [painter] and I have been talking of doing a collaborative work for twelve years! The purpose of the project is to create a body of portraits and urban studies to honestly reflect a coastal town and it's people. The first stage will run from June-Sept 2017, working fast, sketching out before moving to a more rigourous approach between September 2017 and September 2018 .

It's just over 125 years since P.H.Emerson [photographer] and T.F.Goodall [painter] published their celebrated book Wild Life on a Tidal Water, set in Great Yarmouth and Breydon Water.
